An expert in the corporate, commercial, and securities law aspects of Health Law, Will brings over 30 years of experience to his practice. A partner with the Toronto firm of Gardiner Roberts LLP and corporate Health Law Counsel to TTL Health Law, he is widely respected for his expertise in the business of health law, including the legal structuring of specialty surgical facilities, MPCs, joint ventures, association agreements, supply agreements, hospital agreements and clinic structuring. His extensive background in real estate and commercial law, coupled with an intimate understanding of the regulatory environment governing health professionals and facilities in Canada, enables him to help clients both seize opportunities and mitigate risks.

Will was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1984 after earning his LL.B. from Toronto’s Osgoode Hall Law School. He is a former Director of York Biotech, an Ontario RIN.

Will’s unique combination of business and health law expertise gives him a decided edge when it comes to identifying tax issues, creating innovative and tax-efficient finance structures, or optimizing a health start-up’s business plan. He is a shrewd strategist and exceptional adviser for developers, start-ups, health professionals and others who are involved in the business of health.
