Bio

Barbara brings her dual passion for law and medicine to her practice at TTL Health Law.

After completing a Bachelor of Science in Biopharmaceutical Sciences with a Specialization in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Ottawa, Barbara went on to earn Bachelor of Laws (J.D.) and Masters of Health Administration (MHA) degrees from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was subsequently called to the Bar in Ontario in 2014.

Barbara has always taken an active and leading role. During her time in university, she co-chaired Dalhousie’s Health Law Student’s Association and the Dalhousie Law Habitat for Humanity Association. Barbara also participated in a Dalhousie Law Pro Bono initiative at Spencer House, a day center for seniors in Halifax.

Barbara has a keen understanding of both the legal and administrative issues that impact health care delivery in Canada. She has worked with clients in both small and large health care organizations including psychiatric institutions, senior care centers and hospitals. Barbara has also represented health care professionals during the disciplinary and complaints process with their respective colleges as well as advising them on regulatory issues and issues surrounding the use of information technology.
